PAM GARBER is the Preschool Director. She is also the Children's Director at Jefferson Brethren Church. Pam has been involved as a volunteer in Children’s Ministry for over 25 years, the last 6 years at Jefferson Brethren Church. In July 2008 Pam accepted the invitation to become the part time Children’s Director. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Goshen College in 1976 and worked as a registered nurse at Goshen General Hospital until she became a full time mother in a blended family with 5 children, now grown. She and her husband, Terry, also have 7 grandchildren. Pam oversees the Children’s Department at JBC which includes programs such as the Nursery, L.I.F.E. (Live in Faith Excitably) Sunday School utilizing rotating workshops, Children’s Church, Jefferson Brethren Preschool, and God’s Trekkers & Mini Trekkers (a scripture study and Bible memory program on Wednesday evenings for children age 4 through grade 5).

JEAN SCHULTZ is the teacher for the 3 year old T/Th 9:00 class and teaches the 8:30 MWF class too.  This is her 11th year at our preschool.  Jean went to college to become a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and worked in long term care for several years before becoming a full-time homemaker in 1990.  Jean attended Bible Study Fellowship for 9 years and has been an active Children’s Ministry volunteer since 1992.  Jean and her husband, Bob, have two daughters attending I.U.P.U.I. (Madeline is a Senior, Katherine is a Freshman) in Indianapolis; and they also have a daughter attending Northridge High School (Jessica is a Junior).  Jean and her family are active members of Crystal Valley Missionary Church in Middlebury.  Jean enjoys watching high school soccer, reading, swimming, shopping, watching movies, playing euchre, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers.


DONCELLA SHELINE teaches the Extended Day Pre-K class which meets MWF 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM.  She is new to Jefferson Brethren, but not new to the area or to teaching children.  She and her husband, Jeff, have been married for 30 years.  They have 3 children:  Andrea, Jessica and Bryan.  Doncella enjoys reading, movies, crafts and spending time with family and friends.


SHONDA BOUTWELL is the MWF teacher’s assistant in the 8:30am class.  This is her 3rd year at the Preschool.  She has been married to her husband Jacque, for 16 years.  She is the mother of three daughters, Destinee (14), Aubree (12), and Daycee (9).  She has an Associates degree in early childhood education.  She attends Jefferson Brethren Church and has served there on Wed. nights in the mini trekker program (4yr-K) for 9 years.  She enjoys scrapbooking, watching her kids activities, walking, and Raising goats and rabbits for 4-H.  She is looking forward to serving the Lord and the families of the preschool this year.

 

  ANGELA OTTO is the assistant in the T/Th 9-11 am class for 3 year olds. This is her second year as assistant. She lives in Jefferson Township with her husband Earl and their three children Emileigh, Kayleigh & Rhyan.  Angela and her family are members of the Goshen United Pentecostal Church where they are actively involved in many areas of ministry. Angela is really looking forward to another fun and exciting year!


  LAURA DUDEK is the assistant for the MWF Extended Day Pre-K class.  She has attended JBC for 10 years and is an avid supporter of our Children’s Ministries, including Children’s Leadership Team, Vacation Bible School, Trekkers, Christmas musicals and WORM Sunday School.   She has been a stay-at-home mom for the past 15 years with her two kids, Zachery (15) and Hailey (11) but she is eagerly anticipating the opportunity to share God’s love with the Preschool kids and watch them learn and grow.


MELISSA JONES is a standby substitute. This is her 4th year with Jefferson Brethren Preschool. She works under 3 Police Officers as a Crossing Guard & Traffic Controller at two Goshen Community Schools and has worked there for 6 years. She thoroughly enjoys the interactions with her students. She's been married to her husband, Bruce, for 24 yrs. and has 2 fantastic sons, Courtland - 20, who attends Indiana Technical University and Seth - 16, a sophomore at Northridge High School. She considers Jesus as her best friend and loves to talk about biblical and spiritual things. She enjoys boating, motorcycling and vacationing with her family.

 

 


BETH RHUDE is a standby substitute and this is her second year helping with our preschool.  She has been married for 31 years to Rick and has 2 adult children who live away from the area.  She has been an active member of Jefferson Brethren Church for over 30 years, and has taught children's classes and helped in the nursery and helps with our children's Christmas program.  Her current ministry at JBC involves serving as deaconess, co-lieutenant in our Trekker program, worship team, Children's Leadership Team and our Inner Healing Ministry.  Beth enjoys being with children of all ages and has enjoyed being a part of our preschool.  She loves to camp, read and play any type of sport or game.  She is so very excited to see where God will use her this coming year.
