Today is the Day!
VBS volunteers are needed to oversee activity shops in the Marketplace or to be Tribal Leaders. Please sign up TODAY! Sign-up forms (blue) are on the table across from the nursery.
For All I Trust Him
How do you trust God? Take a few minutes to write a praise or concern on the crosses on the BIG bulletin board by the nursery. Let’s give thanks for a trust-worthy God.
You’re Invited!
The children age 3 through grade 5 will be studying the parable of the Great Feast during WORM workshops in May Sunday School. Through puppets, crafts, stories, games and video they will be receiving God’s invitation to the celebra-tion — and learning how to invite others to join them. We would like to invite YOU to be a part of our celebration as well. Please take a few minutes anytime to walk through the Lower Level and see what the kids are up to! And if you have accepted God’s invitation to join Him at His Heavenly Feast, would you please sign the big RSVP note on the wall by the back stairs? This will be a great visual to help the kids see the BIG picture! Exciting things are happening in our Children’s Department that will make an eternal difference in the lives of kids. Will you be included?
The New Preschool Playground has been installed and is now ready for use by kids through grade 1. Older children may play on the larger equipment in the original playground. Parents and teachers . . . please make your children aware!
Ministry Builder Stamps: Thank you to all who have collected Ministry Builder stamps from Family Christian Bookstore purchases. We were able to save $30 on our Children’s Church Curriculum. Keep collecting the stamps. You may drop them off in the office anytime. Thank you!
Are You Compulsive?
Sheldon Swartz will be leading a seminar "From Compulsion to Free Choice" for the community here at JBC Tuesday evening, May 20th, from 6:30 - 8:45 p.m. The purpose of this seminar is to explore how the strength of compulsive behaviors (acting out anger, sexual compulsions, drinking, working, compulsive eating, avoiding, etc.) is weakened, not by directly resisting those behaviors, but by uncovering deeper desire and being willing to embrace it. Pamphlets are in the narthex. Register by calling Sheldon at 533-2812 or emailing at sheldon@lifeda.com by May 15th.
Pantry Needs
Needed: Flour, sugar, apple juice, grape jelly, vegetable oil, canned fruit, laundry soap and toothpaste. Please put the items in the coat room across from the office. Thanks!
Thank You Simply Supper Volunteers!

… And Thank You Sandy!
Thank you to all the Simply Supper volunteers and special thanks to Sandy Biller for the many, many hours of organizing, shopping, chopping, cooking and cleaning that you have done week after week to feed us!
Sincerely, Hungry JBC Niters
Prayer
Praise! We now have 12 on our “Prayer Warrior” team. We spend the time totally in letting the Holy Spirit lead us. No prayer lists and no time in sharing concerns before. We start praying immediately to give the Holy Spirit the full time. You are given a list of the prayer concerns for you to lift up at home… Sandy & Elma
